In her opera she’s a wide eyed young girl who is swept away by a dream of love, which is soured by unearned glamour that leads to tragedy.
She is a small, barbie pink pillbox hat with an organza bow on the back. She is buckram, felt, satin, and organza.
Pamina is the princess from the Magic Flute, where the good guys are a woman hating cult :/.
A bergere, but for someone slightly less dramatic than Manon. She is sinamay, parasisol, flocked dot veiling, and double sided satin ribbon. She is 18×18”.
In her opera, she is a beautiful robot, built to trick a man into falling in love with her, until she breaks.
Lucia: She answers the question: “what about a bonnet for cool girls in New York?” Lucia is made of pandan straw (hand dyed by me) and a double sided satin ribbon.
Lucia di Lammermore is a girl ruled by the men in her life. When she falls in love with anOTHER man to escape, she is tricked into thinking he is dead.
Pink houndstooth boucle beret. She is deadstock polyester boucle, cotton lining, and deadstock pleather.
Suzanna is the protagonist of Marriage of Figaro. She is a trickster who bands together with the Duchess to trick all the men in the manor. The moral of this opera is that men are foolish and emotional. This is my favourite opera!!!
